Admiral Grey makes opulent musical, theatrical and digital performance and pageantry in her DIY “povglam” aesthetic. She brings these sensibilities to theater and pop - and pop and theater to punk. Her work across mediums inhabits a rich, tragicomic universe full of tactile visions and language that dances between wry wit and raw-hearted poetics. A musician and singer with internationally touring bands and solo projects (Cellular Chaos, The Simple Pleasure), she is also a classically trained performer and writer with a rich background in award-winning devised, site-specific and visionary theater, having collaborated as a composer and performer with The Nerve Tank (The Maiden, Project Woyzeck), a deviser and puppeteer with Robin Frohardt Co. (The Pigeoning, Plastic Bag Store), a performer with The Drunkard’s Wife (Feather Gatherers, Permanent Caterpillar, Tiny Hornets, Madame Lynch), a performer, writer/director and video designer for Psychic Readings (Garbage, Death, and the City of Baltimore, Not Today Salome, The Ram) and a deviser and performer with Sister Sylvester (Play America, Two Angry Comedies, Hugh Cox Gets The Pink Slip, Hideouts for Time or The Whale) among others. Her group Snake In The Boot Collective has produced works in New York (NYC Fringe, Dixon Place), Philadelphia and Baltimore.
